Summary:
The Produce Quality Assurance Specialist primarily responsible for monitoring and overseeing the quality control of produce. This position provides a great opportunity to gain exposure to a key function at Reinhart and grow within our organization.
Primary Job Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Responsible for working with Produce Specialist to assure the quality of inbound produce, as well as the produce being delivered to customers on an ongoing basis. This includes possessing the skills to perform the functions listed below while continuing to structure and develop the department.
Serve as a highly motivated leader and quick thinker that possess the ability to interact with a host of different personalities.
Perform daily evaluation of all produce inventories for quality, proper rotation and inventory levels. This work is generally performed in the cooler and covers approximately 300
items.
Inspect daily inbound deliveries for quality and inspect products in the pick slots and document condition and take appropriate action with suppliers or carriers.
Communicate any issues or concerns with the Merchandising Department within a timely manner.
Handle all Federal Inspections as well as product discrepancy notices including taking photos.
Interact with Marketing Associates on a daily basis and provide answers and information on produce related inquiries.
Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with staff and business relations.
Highly organized, detail orientated and capable of multi-tasking.
All other duties as assigned.

Ability to work in varying temperatures ranging from -20F to 100F
Proficient with all Microsoft Office Suites
Ability to occasionally lift up to 80lbs
